How different styles communicate their mood/message
There are many styles of art such as photo realistic, storyboards, matte paint, speed painting and lots more. Styles such as concept art, orthographic, sketches, loading screens, and storyboards are mainly used in media and most importantly in the gaming industry. Artists will also take into consideration the time period, for example futuristic, and will possibly make use of industrial or organic or possibly find a way to mix both.
The way futuristic communicates their mood or message is by using sharp, straight edges to portray that robotic look. Futuristic art rarely uses any form of organic and shows mechanical machines, suits along with possibly neon like lights/beams. Will also use either black or white as a main theme for the piece. The none use of organic life in most futuristic makes the viewers feel cold and empty and does this by showing machines or robotic like humanoids rather than the use of organic life, and since organic life is usually portrayed as warm and full of life, it will make the viewer think that the future is going to be run by machines. the message it gives is either a positive or negative reaction by the audience depends on how the artist portrays the future, for example. A future run by robots usually give the message that human life no longer needs to depend on the use of other humans to cook, clean and even fight for them by having machines do that all for us. Futuristic art can also be displayed as chaotic, and in a more violent way, for example a war between worlds or even countries, this would make the viewer see that there is much corruption in the world and it needs to be solved quickly or the art that is shown might actually happen.
Another style is industrial, the use of a 'steampunk' like theme gives us the impression that it's polluted by industrial work and factories. The sky is usually pitch black fog as the pollution coming from the factories corrupts the sky, giving of a more violent look to the piece isn't of a softer finish as to what the present day sky blue looks like. Industrial usually is set in the past, and is shown to not use as much energy/power than today's age, more manual labour into machines. Sometimes industrial art gives the viewer the mood and message of that of the Victorian days in Britain, as Britain is possibly more famous for the Industrial Revolution, being that everything is a lot hard to gain then rather than now.
